| Canterbury Wine Producer takes Gold at Sydney Wine Awards |  |

Christchurch wine producer, Waipara Hills Wine Estate, has for the second year in a row been awarded a blue-gold medal for their distinctive 2003 Canterbury/Marlborough Riesling at the 2004 Sydney International Wine Show.
Waipara Hills also won a Trophy for its 2002 Canterbury/ Marlborough Riesling at the 2003 Sydney International Wine Challenge Awards Dinner and the 2003 Riesling now contends for the 2004 Trophy in February.
Waipara Hill’s Sales and Marketing Manager Blair Fergus commented that” the growing popularity of Riesling in the market was driven by elegant fruit driven styles such as this.”
